Your Path to Clarity and Calm

Counselling in Leeds, Wakefield, and Online – Supporting Emotional Wellbeing

Welcome.

I’m sometimes asked why people would choose to access a private counsellor. Everybody’s journey is different, however there are a some key points to consider.

With NHS talking therapies, sometimes it can take weeks or even months to be seen (if you’re lucky). With private counselling, you often start within days.

You’re also not just assigned someone, you can pick based on approach, personality, or specialism. This matters because the relationship is a big part of what makes therapy work. And if I’m not the right fit for you, still reach out, I know some genuinely brilliant counsellors I’d be happy to recommend.

Some free services offer a limited number of sessions (often 6-12). Private therapy can move at your pace, whether you want something short-term, or something more open-ended. I’ve tried both and had a lot of value from each.

If you’re considering counselling, you don’t need to have everything figured out before reach out. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge, feeling stuck, or want a space to think and reflect, I’d be happy to have an initial conversation with you.

There’s no pressure and no obligation, just an opportunity to explore whether working together feels like the right next step.
